Big Empty Space

I created a myspace account for networking. Mainly because of my imagined project. This is what I've written there.

And I have to admit: I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. All I keep on getting are adult add/band/friend requests. Thanks, but I am not there for dating, for crying out loud! And while some people e-mailed me directly, all they want to know is my credibility for attempting such a project. This I can tolerate. But man alive! If people can spend hours browsing the web--their respective myspace accounts--what is a couple of hours sharing their thoughts and experiences? By people I meant the second generation Fil-Ams who loiter online. Since they are one of my target groups or sectors. Since they are precisely who I was targeting in myspace. Since they are more at myspace than at friendster. Of course, myspace is just one venue I am trying to utilize to get materials...The chances of me accomplishing this project is totally a different story. I know that. But what frustrates me is the seeming futility of such an approach. Haha! Oh well...

Brand Consciousness

My newly turned 4-year-old nephew, Gabby, was asking his folks to please get him a new pair of shoes. Specifically, that with a "check". If not that kind, that with "stars" will do.

This is the very same kid who's traumatized with my sistah's recent marriage. Naturally, she and her hubby were inseparable. On the few days the couple spent in Manila prior to their departure, he laments, "I don't like her anymore. She's always with her BOY!"

Now I entered the picture and tried talking to him. But I overheard him saying, "I don't like. I don't know her."

Sheeesssshhhh....consciousness is a tricky thing.

But I say: Gabby, Check, with all-stars!
